Thing Business Computing

Business computing refers to the hardware and software technologies wanted to support data systems within a business environment. These devices include computer’s desktop productivity information, server-based applications, and client computing. Generally, commodity business computing devices are packed or “off-the-shelf” software that may be deployed pertaining to workplace production, business functions and interaction. This includes computer software such as Microsoft Office, Citrix Receiver, and WebEx. It also encompasses the components that helps these devices, such as computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, PIV card viewers, digital signs, and Voice over ip phones.

NIEHS will build and maintain getting guidelines offering appropriate constraints, coverage, processes, technological specifications and deal vehicles with regards to acquiring asset business processing software, hardware, systems and devices. The guidelines will encourage cost savings, generate purchasing more efficient, ensure conformity with relevant NIEHS and NIH procedures, prevent disallowed uses, and enable for the flexible acquisition of commodity business computing product or service.

NIEHS will develop, deploy and keep commodity organization computing facilities that supports operational software and communications across different scientific, grant-making, and enterprise-wide mission areas.
